Kat Love Owes Its Inspiration to Our Beautiful Cat Majesty a.k.a Madge
Here Is Her Story....
Madge joined our family in 2015 after she had been living as a stray in a struggling busy city suburb in the heart of the UK.
This particular area has an overpopulation of stray cats, problems began by cats being abandoned when tenants moved out after being evicted and could no longer afford to look after their cat, also cats were being allowed to leave their mothers home to go and literally live on the street, again abandoned!
These cats went on to struggle and make a life for themselves on the streets which included giving birth to kittens and so began a cycle of the an ever increasing stray cat population that continues to grow up until this day.
Luckily there is an amazing organization called Cats Protection UK that help protect these cats and thousands of others across the UK every day.
They
with the support of the Nottingham Probation Trust and working with local residents have provided suitable shelter and ensure fresh food and water is put out on a daily basis so the stray cats don't go hungry and have access to protection from the weather, which at times can be very harsh especially in winter.
They have a main UK Facebook Group (details in the links below if you are interested) and also a Facebook Page specific to the Bulwell Cat Watch, this page ensures that they are able keep an eye on the cats and that they and residents are able to share news, concerns and information in real time with each other.
"This is a fantastic example of organisations and Local Communities working together!!"
Bulwell Cat Watch

"Bulwell has a community of stray cats. Cats Protection has been working with Bulwell residents since September 2016 to control cat numbers and make sure they are well looked after - this will be good for the community and for cats."
"We have now neutered over 100 cats in Bulwell. We continue to work with community cat carers in Bulwell and have been providing outdoor cat shelters through our partnership with Nottingham Probation Trust."

Our Madge
Majesty, aka Madge had come from a known home in the area that actually bred cats and she had been visiting a friend of a family members house on a regular basis for food, she appeared pretty friendly but at the same time still had that extreme dis-trust of humans.
We instantly fell in Love with Madge and it was immediately decided there and then that she would be coming home and given the save, warm, caring home every cat deserves.
It hasn't always easy and it took 6 days to get Madge into a carrier so she could be brought to her new home and its taken few years for her to begin to really show signs of trust and fully relax in her new home and around her new family.
But thats ok we love her no matter what!! <3 <3 <3
Sometimes I shudder to think of what she may have endured whilst living out there so young and vulnerable....hopefully any bad memories of that past life have long gone and that we as a family make it up to her every day!
Please Always Remember:
It's important that before you decide to take on any new pet into the family that you are able enough and responsible enough to give that pet the proper Love, care and attention that it deserves.
